Italian Xtra Life Lycra®

Aurelia Collection

The Aurelia Collection is crafted from premium Italian Xtra Life Lycra®, a high-performance swim fabric developed for longevity, support, and a refined feel on the skin.

Xtra Life Lycra® is engineered to resist the effects of chlorine, saltwater, sunscreen, heat, and frequent washing, which are the most common causes of swimwear wear and loss of elasticity. Compared to conventional swim fabrics, it offers superior stretch recovery, helping each piece maintain its original shape, fit, and smooth finish over time.

For the wearer, this means a swimsuit that feels soft and comfortable while providing reliable support, a flattering fit, and long-lasting color vibrancy. Italian Xtra Life Lycra® is ideal for frequent swimming, extended sun exposure, and customers who value durability without compromising on elegance.

    Exclusive Silk-Touch Swim Fabric

    Star Girl Collection

    For our Star Girl Collection, we partnered with a leading fabric supplier to develop an exclusive silk-touch swim fabric that combines a buttery-soft feel with exceptional performance.

    This fabric is specially treated to be fully swim-proof, chlorine-resistant, and saltwater-friendly, while maintaining its color and texture even after repeated wear. Soft, smooth, and luxurious against the skin, it delivers all-day comfort and a lightweight feel, making it perfect for resort wear and statement swim silhouettes.

    Tested & Certified Quality

    All of our swimwear fabrics are independently tested and certified by Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, one of the world’s leading authorities in product testing, quality assurance, and sustainability.

    Our fabrics meet the highest industry standards for:

    • Chlorine resistance

    • Saltwater resistance

    • Colour fastness to light

    • Durability through laundering

    This ensures that every Sommer Swim piece is designed to look beautiful, feel comfortable, and perform reliably over time.


    Manufacturing & Production

    Our production partners are carefully chosen for their high standards in craftsmanship and ethical practices. We work closely with a female-led factory, headed by the incredible Ms. Adeline — a true powerhouse leading her team with skill and passion. By producing in small runs, we ensure attention to detail while avoiding the excess inventory typical of mass production models.

    Every piece undergoes a thorough inspection by our dedicated Quality Control (QC) department before it reaches you — ensuring only the best leaves our factory.

    Sommer Swim is committed to ensuring safe, fair, and supportive working conditions. We personally visit the factory monthly and maintain strict oversight on workers' welfare and production standards.

    Our Prints

    Our prints are developed in collaboration with a family-run studio based in Como, Italy — the heart of textile artistry since 1976. This legendary studio has crafted designs for global fashion icons such as Chanel, Versace, and Dolce & Gabbana.

    Combining hand-drawing with digital innovations, their passionate team of designers craft original, exclusive prints that reflect both heritage and trend.

    By partnering with artisans who value originality and craftsmanship, we ensure every Sommer Swim print is a wearable work of art — fresh, elevated, and exclusive to our brand.

    Hardware & Trims

    Our hardware is entirely custom-designed in-house using advanced 3D rendering software. Drawing inspiration from natural textures, we create one-of-a-kind pieces that you won’t find anywhere else.

    We use premium-quality Zinc Alloy, with double electroplating to guarantee the highest standards of colorfastness and wear resistance. All Sommer Swim hardware components are tested through Bureau Veritas to ensure longevity and resistance to the elements.

    Packaging

    Our commitment to considered design extends beyond the garment itself. Every order is thoughtfully packaged using recyclable and reusable materials, including a cotton canvas pouch designed to be repurposed for your next escape.
