In true Sommer Swim style, we like to spend most of the year chasing the sun. June – September are, of course, our favourite months when European Summer is in full swing where we get to enjoy sun-drenched days across the continent’s hotspots. Our Founder & Creative Director recently whisked away to the Amalfi Coast for the ultimate girl’s weekend in Positano, complete with long lunches and lazy beach club days spent soaking up the Mediterranean sun. Read on to discover her Positano recommendations for a dreamy weekend away!
“We checked into the magical Villa Le Sirene overlooking Positano’s colourful hillside architecture and glimpses of the main beach, Spiaggia Grande. We loved Villa Le Sirene’s unique design elements and colourful flora of Jasmine and lemon trees - the estate’s location was perfect providing easy access to everything, would definitely recommend staying here as a group”.

“Chez Black, an iconic dining spot – perfect for lunch and people watching! Considered an institution in Positano and often visited by celebs, this is the place to come if you’re looking for delicious Mediterranean cuisine, ocean views, and a buzzing atmosphere”.
“For the best pasta in Positano head to Da Vincenzo. Order a glass of Prosecco and the Pasta Genovese, grab a table outside and soak in the views over a long lunch”.

“During the day visit Positano’s best beach clubs, a favourite is One Fire Beach with its distinctive orange umbrellas you’ll probably recognise from Instagram. The beach is easy to access from Positano or Praiano with their shuttle boat, a really cool vibe in the afternoon”.
“For a more traditional Italian Beach Club experience head to Da Ferdinando On Fornillo Beach. There is a free boat that takes you from the main beach to Fornillo beach. Spend the afternoon (or day) on one of their emerald green sun loungers with an Aperol Spritz in one hand and a book in the other”.
“For a fancy seafood lunch and cold Prosecco by the beach visit Treville Beach Club. Reachable via their hourly shuttle from the pier in Positano, Treville is an exclusive slice of paradise on Positano’s coast”.
“Check out the Champagne Bar at Le Sirenuse and Franco’s Bar (just above) for a sundowner above the sea. Both uniquely stunning locations reflecting the beauty of the Amalfi Coast, and the magical destination that is Positano!”
